If you're a DFINITY employee, investor, or grant recipient, and you need a walkthrough on how to submit a KYC application, watch the following video or scroll down for step-by-step instructions.
IMPORTANT: Applicant names must match the LEGAL NAME as shown on your government issued Identification (ID). Be prepared to submit both a official ID document such as a Drivers License or Passport, and also a current photograph.
Submissions with Chinese names must not submit the "Anglicized" version of their names, instead the name must be written as it is written on the ID submitted.
Submissions must contain both an ID Document, and also a current photo. Submissions which contain only one of the above will be rejected.
1. Visit kyc.dfinity.org and select the appropriate category.
2. Enter in you email address that's associated with you ICP token wallet address. You'll receive a unique link in your inbox that you'll have to use in order to begin your KYC verification process.
3. Read through the notice and check the consent box and Submit.
4. Fill out the form with your information, and be sure to select Yes if the application is for a Business Entity.
If it's for a business entity, enter in the name of the entity and your Business ID Number or Federal Tax Number.
5. For ID Verification, select the official identification that you'd like to provide.
Review the Document Verification Best Practices by selecting Instructions on the right side of the ID Verification section.
For the photo of your face, you must scan the QR code and take the photo on your mobile device.
On your mobile device, select Capture Image to take a photo. The photo that you select OK for will automatically be uploaded to the KYC application page. You can choose to do the same for your documents, or upload document photos directly from your computer.
6. In the Wallet Info section, enter in your ICP Wallet Address and mark whether the address is for a new wallet address or for a wallet address change request. Please note that change requests may take up to at least two weeks to update in the registry.
You can also enter in your Principal ID. Make sure you enter the correct ICP Wallet Address and Principal ID.
7. Once everything is filled out, Submit the application and our team will review your application and let you know if you pass KYC or need to provide additional information.
