A neuron's age is determined by the amount of time that passes before the neuron begins to dissolve. A higher age enhances your voting power, and therefore your voting rewards. This age bonus maxes out at four years. If you add more ICP utility tokens to your voting neuron, your age bonus will be decreased so that the absolute number of ICP utility tokens you get from your age bonus will stay the same.
