You can use your NNS dapp to send and receive supported cryptocurrencies. Sends and receives are available on both mobile and web by visiting NNS.ic0.app and connecting to the NNS dapp with your Internet Identity. After connecting to NNS.ic0.app you can share your unique cryptocurrency address to receive tokens through your web browser or mobile device.

Send and Receive Tokens with NNS dapp

Sending tokens on chain will send tokens from your connected Internet Identity wallet in the NNS dapp, to another address on the Internet Computer blockchain. On-chain sends are irreversible, and the DFINITY Foundation can’t retrieve funds that were sent to the incorrect address. On-chain sends incur network fees and process almost immediately.

Send a Transaction

1. Visit https://nns.ic0.app/ and authenticate with Internet Identity. You can learn more about Internet Identity here.

2. From your NNS dapp homepage select which token you want to Send or Receive in the menu bar.

3. Click on the On the Send tab, enter the amount of tokens you'd like to send.

4. Select the amount, Destination, and the source to use for the send.

5. Select Continue to review the details.

6. Select Send now.

Receive a Transaction

You can share your unique cryptocurrency address to receive tokens through your web browser or mobile device after signing in.

1. From the NNS dashboard select Receive in the toolbar.

2. Select Asset and choose the account where you want to receive the tokens. 

3. Once the asset is selected, the QR code and address will populate.

4. Alternatively you can click on the wallet address copy icon located on the account card to locate and copy your wallet address to your clipboard.

If you are not receiving the cryptocurrency that someone has sent to your address or it is failing to display on the NNS dapp, try the following steps. 

• Close and re-open your app or browser. 

• Make sure that your app is updated to the latest version.

• Confirm that you provided the sender with the correct address on the correct network.

• Confirm that the sender sent the funds via the correct network. 

• Ask the sender to provide you with the block explorer link and confirm that the funds were sent to the correct address.

View Transaction Status

After sending a transaction, the transaction ID can be located and reviewed by visiting Internet Computer block explorer at ICScan.io or the Internet Computer Dashboard.

You can find the Transaction ID by clicking on the Card of the Account the Transaction was Sent to or Received From.
